CVE-2023-43256Network attack vector

Authenticated file disclosure via camera stream path traversal

Published Sep 25, 2023 · Updated Sep 24, 2024

Path traversal in Gladys Assistant 4.26.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive host files via camera-stream requests. The RTSP camera streaming endpoint joined attacker-controlled folder and file parameters directly with the temporary directory before opening a read stream; the patch added strict session and filename validation. Authentication is required, and the demonstrated consequence is confidentiality loss through arbitrary file extraction without reported modification or service interruption.
