CVE-2023-43250Public exploit

Process crash via invalid TIFF conversion write

Published Oct 18, 2023 · Updated Sep 13, 2024

Buffer overflow in XnSoft NConvert 7.136 allows context-dependent attackers to crash the process through a crafted image file. The TIFF conversion path proceeds after an invalid allocation-size condition and performs a 16-byte write to a non-null invalid address at nconvert+0x13dadd. Processing the attacker-supplied file is required; the published debugger trace demonstrates a crash, while arbitrary code execution is not demonstrated.
