CVE-2023-4320Network attack vector

Persistent access via token-expiration arithmetic overflow

Published Dec 18, 2023 · Updated Nov 20, 2025

Insufficient session expiration in Red Hat Satellite allows remote authenticated users to create personal access tokens that never expire. The personal-access-token creation path performs an arithmetic expiration calculation that can overflow, causing the resulting credential to remain valid indefinitely. A low-privileged account is required; the persistent token preserves authenticated access beyond its intended expiration and compromises system integrity.
