Account deletion via forged administrative request
Published Oct 12, 2023 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in SPA-Cart 1.9.0.3 allows remote attackers to delete accounts through an administrator's browser. The /admin/users/search endpoint accepts a POST with mode=delete and attacker-chosen to_delete account identifiers without a request-specific anti-CSRF value. An administrator must open the attacker's HTML and submit its form while authenticated; the forged request can remove every enumerated account.
