Authenticated SQL injection via unsanitized asset identifier
Published Sep 22, 2023 · Updated Sep 24, 2024
SQL injection in Projectworlds Assets-management-system-in-php 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to query MySQL through delete.php. The delete.php endpoint passes the id query parameter to delete_data(), which concatenates it unquoted into a DELETE statement and executes it with mysqli_query(). A valid session and access to the asset deletion workflow are required; the published proof of concept can enumerate schemas and change which asset rows are deleted.
