Authenticated command execution via ACL rule names
Published Sep 20, 2023 · Updated Sep 25, 2024
Command injection in TP-Link TL-ER5120G 4.0 firmware 2.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via ACL rule names. The ACL rule-creation path uses the attacker-controlled rule-name value in command execution without neutralizing command separators. Authenticated Web-management access is required, and successful injection runs arbitrary commands with the router's privileges.
