Local privilege escalation in IBM Facsimile Support 5798-FAX V5R8M0 on IBMi 7.2 through 7.5 allows local users to execute code. Facsimile Support invokes a library without fully qualifying the location, allowing an unintended search-path element to supply code. Exploitation requires local access and user interaction, and the substituted code runs with the privileges of the user invoking facsimile support.
