Administrator profile corruption via empty field acceptance
Published Aug 11, 2023 · Updated Oct 4, 2024
Business logic errors in Froxlor before 2.0.22 allow remote authenticated users to corrupt administrator profile data. The Admins.update API path accepts whitespace-only administrator names or email addresses and writes the resulting empty values because it lacks trim-based emptiness checks. Administrator-level access to the remote API is required, and the demonstrated consequence is modification of administrator profile records.
