CVE-2023-43029Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via reusable encryption key

Published Mar 21, 2025 · Updated Aug 17, 2025

Information disclosure in IBM Storage Virtualize Plugin for vSphere 1.0 and 1.1 allows remote authenticated users to obtain credentials. Appliance instances deployed from IBM OVA files reuse a non-unique encryption key, and generated support packages include encrypted vSphere, storage-system, and certificate data. High privileges and access to a generated support package are required, but recovered credentials can expose connected administrative services.
