Authenticated database disclosure via unfiltered profile name parameters
Published Sep 28, 2023 · Updated Sep 23, 2024
SQL injection in Asset Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read the entire database via crafted profile names. The update_profile() function in core/functions/user.php sends first_name and last_name values to the database without character validation or filtering. An authenticated account is required, and the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of database contents.
