Improper authorization in Safari Private Browsing in iOS and iPadOS before 17 allows physically proximate attackers to view open private tabs. The Safari Private Browsing UI fails to require successful device authentication before exposing existing private-tab content. Physical access to the device is required, and Apple reports only disclosure of existing private-tab content, not modification or service interruption.
