Administrator password disclosure via Node.js socket
Published Apr 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Credential exposure in Claris FileMaker Server before 20.3.1 allows remote authenticated users to obtain administrator-role passwords. The Admin Console's Node.js socket sends administrator-role passwords to front-end websites instead of keeping those credentials server-side. An administrator must be signed in to the Admin Console; exposure is limited to credential confidentiality, with no reported direct data modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
