CVE-2023-42795Network attack vector

Cross-request information disclosure via failed object recycling

Published Oct 10, 2023 · Updated Oct 29, 2025

Incomplete cleanup in affected Apache Tomcat releases allows remote attackers to read data retained from a preceding request or response. Exceptions from part deletion or session end-access could abort recycle methods before later request and response fields were cleared for reuse. No authentication or user interaction is required, but disclosure depends on a cleanup exception and a later request reusing the uncleared object.
