Unauthenticated RCE via wildcarded RPC2 path exemption
Published Sep 19, 2023 · Updated Oct 21, 2025
Authentication bypass in JetBrains TeamCity before 2023.05.4 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through HTTP(S) requests. The RequestInterceptors class excludes every path ending in /RPC2 from pre-handling, so a crafted REST token-creation path skips authorization and returns an administrator token. Unauthenticated network access to an on-premises server is sufficient, enabling administrative control, secret theft, and build-pipeline tampering.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
