CVE-2023-42765Network attack vector

JavaScript execution via unneutralized SNMP username

Published Feb 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Cross-site scripting in Westermo Lynx L206-F2G firmware 4.24 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through an SNMP username. The WebGUI accepts a script payload in the SNMP configuration's username field without neutralizing it, allowing the supplied JavaScript to run in a browser. An administrator account is required to inject the payload, and execution can expose data exchanged between the device and its client.
