CVE-2023-42708

Local disclosure via unchecked permission-record write

Published Dec 4, 2023 · Updated Oct 11, 2024

Information disclosure in Unisoc firewall service on Android 11 and Android 12 chipsets allows local users to read app permission-usage records. The service writes an app's permission-usage records without first checking the caller's permission. A local caller needs no additional execution privileges or user interaction, and the disclosed records expose permission activity without altering system integrity.
