Local information disclosure via unchecked record writes
Published Dec 4, 2023 · Updated May 29, 2025
Information disclosure in UNISOC's Android firewall service allows local users to read app permission-usage records on affected chipsets. The firewall service writes an app's permission-usage records without checking that the caller holds the required permission. A locally installed app needs no additional execution privileges or user interaction; UNISOC has not disclosed the affected interface or how the write exposes information.
