CVE-2023-42663Network attack vector

Cross-DAG task disclosure via unchecked batch filtering

Published Oct 14, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Improper authorization in Apache Airflow before 2.7.2 allows remote authenticated users to read task-instance data from unauthorized DAGs. The REST API batch task-instance endpoint applied caller-supplied DAG identifiers directly to the query without checking per-DAG read permission. An account with task-instance read access and permission for only one DAG can query metadata belonging to other DAGs, without modifying it.
