CVE-2023-42660Network attack vector

Database read and modification via machine-interface SQL injection

Published Sep 20, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025

SQL injection in affected MOVEit Transfer releases allows remote authenticated users to read and modify MOVEit database content. The machine interface incorporates a crafted authenticated request payload into a database query without correctly neutralizing SQL syntax; Progress has not disclosed a narrower file or function locus. A valid account and network access are required; affected branches begin at 2021.1.0, 2022.0.0, 2022.1.0, and 2023.0.0 and end before 2021.1.8, 2022.0.8, 2022.1.9, and 2023.0.6, respectively.
