Keystroke disclosure via plaintext SogouSDK traffic
Published Dec 5, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cleartext transmission in Samsung Electronics' Samsung Keyboard on affected Android 11–13 releases allows adjacent attackers to intercept keystrokes. The Chinese keyboard's SogouSDK sends sensitive keyboard traffic over HTTP instead of HTTPS, exposing it to on-path interception. An unauthenticated attacker on an adjacent network can read entered keystrokes; no integrity or availability impact is reported.
