Physical authentication bypass via invalid flag setting
Published Dec 5, 2023 · Updated Oct 15, 2024
Improper authentication in Samsung Pass before 4.3.00.17 allows physically proximate attackers to bypass authentication. The authentication logic accepts an invalid flag setting instead of enforcing the intended check; Samsung has not identified the flag or code path. Exploitation requires physical access, high privileges, and user interaction and permits protected data to be read or altered without interrupting service.
