Physical device unlock via SMS password reset

Improper authentication in Samsung's lost-device service before 7.3.13.4 allows physically proximate attackers to remotely unlock a lost device. The remote-unlock workflow accepts a Samsung Account password reset completed through SMS verification as sufficient authorization to release the device lock. Exploitation requires physical possession of the lost device and completion of SMS verification for the associated account, after which the lock screen no longer prevents access.
