File disclosure via interceptable implicit intent
Published Nov 7, 2023 · Updated Sep 12, 2024
Use of implicit intent in Samsung Account before 14.5.00.7 allows local users to read arbitrary files with Samsung Account privileges. startEmailValidationActivity sends sensitive file communication through an implicit Android intent instead of restricting delivery to an explicit component. A malicious local app must induce user interaction and intercept that intent; the consequence is disclosure of files readable by Samsung Account.
