Remote scanning interruption via infinite processing loop
Published Sep 18, 2023 · Updated Sep 25, 2024
Denial of service in the scanning engine in affected WithSecure security products allows remote attackers to interrupt scanning. The engine enters an infinite loop while processing unspecified file types; WithSecure has not published the responsible parser or loop condition. Unauthenticated network delivery of such a file is sufficient, and affected releases span Windows, macOS, Linux, and Atlant products.
