Code execution via unchecked project-file row count
Published Oct 17, 2023 · Updated Sep 13, 2024
Out-of-bounds memory access in JTEKT ELECTRONICS OnSinView2 2.0.1 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a crafted project file. When parsing a KMDF block, the application uses an unvalidated row count to access memory beyond the buffer boundary. Exploitation requires a user to open the modified project file and can disclose process memory or run arbitrary code in the user's context.
