CVE-2023-42504Network attack vector

Service interruption via unthrottled concurrent dashboard exports

Published Nov 28, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Resource exhaustion in Apache Superset before 3.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service through dashboard exports. The dashboard export API accepts concurrent requests that each expand multiple dashboard IDs into server-side export work without rate limits. An authenticated account with dashboard-export access can sustain overlapping work until the service becomes unavailable.
