Reflected XSS via unescaped filter parameters
Published Oct 31, 2023 · Updated Apr 3, 2025
Reflected XSS in EventPrime before 3.2.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser through crafted request parameters. The keyword and ep_filter_date parameters are returned to EventPrime pages without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. The request needs no authentication, but script execution requires a user, including a high-privilege administrator, to open the crafted link; the script can read or alter data available to that browser session.
