Script execution via unneutralized translation redirect
Published Oct 17, 2023 · Updated Sep 13, 2024
Reflected XSS in Liferay Portal 7.4.3.4 through 7.4.3.85 and Liferay DXP 7.4 before update 86 allows remote attackers to inject script. The Export for Translation page returns the unneutralized _com_liferay_translation_web_internal_portlet_TranslationPortlet_redirect request parameter in browser-rendered output. Exploitation requires a victim to follow a crafted request, after which attacker-supplied script runs in the page's origin with that victim's access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
