CVE-2023-42471Public exploit

JavaScript execution via unsanitized SplashScreen intent

Published Sep 11, 2023 · Updated Sep 26, 2024

Code injection in Wave AI Browser 1.0.35 and earlier for Android allows context-dependent attackers to execute JavaScript via a crafted intent. The exported wave.ai.browser.ui.splash.SplashScreen activity passes an externally supplied intent URI or extra data to a WebView without adequate validation or sanitization. No permissions are required by the sending application, but exploitation requires another application on the same Android device to invoke the exported activity.
