Plugin installation via missing nonce validation
Published Jan 11, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in StellarWP GiveWP 2.33.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to install and activate SendWP through a forged request. The give_sendwp_remote_install_handler function processes the installation request without correctly validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires a site administrator to open an attacker-controlled link or otherwise submit the forged request, after which SendWP is added and enabled.
