Administrative file deletion via directory traversal
Published Nov 17, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Directory traversal in CubeCart before 6.5.3 allows remote authenticated users with administrative privileges to delete files and directories. Public advisories do not identify the affected handler or disclose how attacker-controlled path input escapes its intended directory. Administrative access to the network-facing application is required, and successful exploitation can remove application or system data.
