CVE-2023-42419

Administrative command execution via hard-coded private key

Published Mar 5, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Hard-coded key use in Cybellum Maintenance Server 2.15.5 through 2.27 allows local users to execute commands on the server. The China Edition QCOW air-gapped build compiles a private cryptographic key into the server image, exposing that secret to privileged users. Exploitation requires administrative privileges, access to the air-gapped server, and user interaction; other distributions and all 1.x versions are unaffected.
