CVE-2023-42406Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Code execution via hid_id SQL injection

Published Oct 26, 2023 · Updated Sep 10, 2024

SQL injection in D-Link DAR-7000 31R02B1413C allows remote attackers to read sensitive data and execute arbitrary code via editrole.php. A crafted POST hid_id value reaches the endpoint's database operation without neutralizing SQL syntax; a nested sleep() query creates a measurable delay. The public proof of concept uses an established web session and published default credentials; successful injection exposes database data and enables code execution.
