Database credential disclosure via unauthenticated API endpoint
Published Sep 18, 2023 · Updated Sep 25, 2024
Information disclosure in TDSQL Chitu 10.3.19.5.0 allows remote attackers to obtain database credentials through an API request. The public get_db_info action in install.php loads the active database configuration and returns its hostname, port, username, and password as JSON without enforcing authentication. No account or user interaction is required, and the disclosed plaintext credentials enable direct database login.
