Integer overflow in OpenImageIO 2.4.12.0 allows remote attackers to execute code or crash an application via a crafted BMP file. The BMP reader multiplies attacker-controlled image dimensions using signed arithmetic, allowing the total pixel count to overflow before vector allocation. Exploitation requires an application to open the file; the published proof of concept aborts iconvert, while the CVE record also reports code execution.
