Database disclosure via api_version blind SQL injection
Published Nov 7, 2023 · Updated Sep 5, 2024
Blind SQL injection in Tyk Gateway 5.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to dump its PostgreSQL database through the Dashboard API. The /api/errors/count endpoint passes crafted api_version values into a database query without neutralizing injected SQL syntax. A valid Dashboard session cookie and API identifier are required; the demonstrated result is database-banner extraction and database dumping.
