Authenticated SQL injection via visit POST parameters
Published Jan 13, 2025 · Updated Jan 14, 2025
SQL injection in Selesta Visual Access Manager before 4.42.2 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries via crafted POST data. The /vam/vam_visits.php endpoint fails to neutralize SQL control characters in multiple POST parameters before using the values in SQL commands. An authenticated VAM account and network access to the endpoint are required; the published record does not identify the parameter names or resulting database operations.
