Authenticated arbitrary file creation via SOAP traversal
Published Jan 13, 2025 · Updated Jan 23, 2025
Path traversal in Pat Infinite Solutions HelpdeskAdvanced 11.0.33 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to create arbitrary files. The WSConnector service uses a path supplied through an authenticated SOAP request as a filesystem destination without restricting traversal outside the intended directory. A valid account is required, and published evidence does not identify the writable locations, controllable file contents, or any follow-on execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
