CVE-2023-42129Network attack vector

Authenticated arbitrary file read via unvalidated path

Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024

Path traversal in A10 Networks Thunder ADC allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files through the management GUI. ShowTechDownloadView passes a user-supplied path to file operations without validating that the resolved path remains within an allowed directory. Exploitation requires successful authentication and management-interface access, and exposed content is readable with the service account's permissions.
