Code execution via EMF heap buffer overflow
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Heap-based buffer overflow in PDF-XChange Editor 10.0.1.371 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted EMF file. The EMF parser fails to validate a user-supplied length before copying data into a fixed-length heap buffer. Exploitation requires a user to visit malicious content or open the file, after which code runs in the current process context.
