Information disclosure via U3D out-of-bounds read
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in PDF-XChange Editor 9.5.368.0 allows remote attackers to disclose process memory through a crafted U3D file. The U3D parser fails to validate user-supplied data before reading beyond the end of an allocated object. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file; the disclosure can support a separate code-execution chain.
