Code execution via insufficiently validated PDF data
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024
Memory corruption in PDF parsing in Tungsten Automation Power PDF before 5.0.0.12 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. The PDF parser fails to validate user-supplied document data before processing it, producing memory corruption in the current process. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious PDF, after which code runs with the target process privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
