Sensitive data disclosure via locked-device Siri options
Published Oct 25, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Improper lock-screen restrictions in Siri on Apple iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and watchOS allow physically proximate attackers to access sensitive user data. On a locked device, Siri offers options that expose sensitive information instead of limiting those options until the device is unlocked. Exploitation requires physical access to a locked device with Siri available; affected releases precede iOS and iPadOS 16.7.2 or 17.1, macOS 14.1, and watchOS 10.1.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
