CVE-2023-41964Network attack vector

Sensitive data disclosure via cleartext DB variables

Published Oct 10, 2023 · Updated Sep 18, 2024

Cleartext storage in F5 BIG-IP and BIG-IQ systems allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive database-variable data. The systems write some sensitive values into internal Database (DB) variables without encrypting them, leaving stored contents readable to accounts that can access those variables. Network access plus low privileges is required; the published impact is limited to disclosure, with no reported data modification or service interruption.
