Unauthenticated HMI shutdown via crafted FTP packets
Published Dec 12, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Resource-consumption flaw in the GC-A2 series FTP service allows remote attackers to stop the HMI with crafted network packets. JTEKT identifies uncontrolled resource consumption in the FTP service but does not disclose which packet field or processing path exhausts resources. No authentication or user interaction is required; a successful attack stops the HMI until it is restarted.
