Authenticated external-service access via unchecked HTTP endpoints
Published Sep 6, 2023 · Updated Sep 26, 2024
Missing authorization in Jenkins Frugal Testing Plugin 1.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to connect using supplied credentials. Several plugin HTTP endpoints invoke Frugal Testing connection and test-lookup operations without checking the caller's permission. Overall/Read access is sufficient; a valid supplied username also exposes test IDs and names, while no broader impact is reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
