Privilege escalation via disabled permission grants
Published Sep 6, 2023 · Updated Sep 26, 2024
Missing authorization in Jenkins Assembla Auth Plugin 1.14 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with EDIT access to gain elevated permissions. The authorization strategy maps Assembla EDIT access to Overall/Manage and Overall/SystemRead without checking whether Jenkins enabled those permissions. EDIT-level Assembla access is required; additional deprecated grants permit arbitrary code execution on Jenkins before 2.222.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
