CVE-2023-41934Network attack vector

Credential username disclosure via incomplete log masking

Published Sep 6, 2023 · Updated Sep 26, 2024

Improper log masking in Jenkins Pipeline Maven Integration Plugin 1330.v18e473854496 and earlier allows attackers to read credential usernames. When Treat username as secret is enabled for credentials in custom Maven settings, the plugin leaves each username unredacted in Pipeline build logs instead of replacing it with asterisks. An attacker must be able to view the affected build log, and exposure is limited to usernames rather than passwords or credential modification.
