CVE-2023-41921Network attack vector

Unauthenticated firmware tampering via unverified code download

Published Jul 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Download-of-code-without-integrity-check in Kiloview P1/P2 firmware through 4.8.2605 allows remote attackers to alter device firmware. The firmware update process executes remotely obtained code without verifying its origin or integrity; no responsible file, function, protocol, or cryptographic check is publicly identified. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient, and successful exploitation installs attacker-modified firmware that leaves the encoder in an insecure state.
