Continued account access via retained logout session
Published Aug 6, 2023 · Updated Oct 9, 2024
Insufficient session expiration in Admidio before 4.2.11 allows remote attackers to retain account access after a user logs out. The Session::logout() method ended its database transaction without clearing or destroying the PHP session, so the existing session identifier remained authorized. Exploitation requires possession of a valid session identifier and permits continued access to the affected user's data and functions after logout.
